And We're Back!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and found time for rest and relaxation.
Second semester is officially underway and our students are hard at work diving into their new classes. The Sophomores tell me they are looking forward to this semester now that they have some experience under their belts and have found a groove. The Juniors are ready to tackle that back end of what is usually the most hectic year at IMSA. Our Seniors are already looking toward graduation and will likely have to fend off some senioritis as they try to stay focused and finish strong.
Coming up this week in our Thursday programming, we will be hearing from some of our most successful Seniors on how they manage their time and resources, create routines, and tackle challenges for maximum productivity at IMSA and beyond.
This Friday I will be hosting an online party game night for all of of the 1504 students to come together for some wholesome fun.
Almost two weeks ago now, we held a discussion as a wing of the riot that resulted in the storming of the US Capitol Building on January 6th. It was an excellent discussion and we heard some great insights from many of our boys as they processed the events, discussed its causes and consequences, and talked about finding ways to promote healing in what has been a tumultuous time for our nation.
Last Thursday evening the 04 RCs held an Among Us game night for the hall. Only about 10 students came but, we had a great time.
Parents of Seniors, your student needs to log a total of 200 service hours in order to graduate. Please check in with them regarding their progress in this matter. If they have hours that have not yet been logged, please encourage them to submit those hours through Helper Helper asap so that we can update their totals. I and the other IMSA RC are more than willing to help students find service opportunities if hey are short on hours.
Until next time!
